Today I would like to talk to you about my time in Santorini, Greece we went for a week to a Friends Wedding but also for a Break Away.
I had only been to Greece Once before and that was when I went to Cos and that was another Horror Story with an ex partner many years ago it ended up in disaster and put me off going back to Greece I will probably go into this story at some point for now though I would like to talk about my time in Santorini.
my ex partners friends decided to get married abroad and chose Santorini Winery to get married it was such a Beautiful Ceremony and it was Perfect Weather if anything it was too hot.
The Sun Set was Amazing just being able to watch that from the Winery was just Stunning I don't think I will ever forget that.
My Outfit that I wore for the Wedding I love this Dress it is so Light and is perfect for a Summer Wedding it's Backless as well which I love.
I only paid £10 for this Dress and I have wore it to 2 Weddings so it has definitely had it's use and I still have it now so it will be getting more use next summer.
Our Friends the Bride and Groom I took this photo and I really love it, it's one of those Photos that they were completely unaware that I was taking and in my opinion they are the best Photos.
The Wedding Reception was just beautiful our friends had it at the Santorini Winery also and they put a Selection of Cheese and Wines on for their Guests.
I'm not a lover of Red Wine so I didn't drink that I just drank the White Wine which was really nice and I loved the Cheese.
It was so nice to have some Drinks and Snacks while the Sun was setting after we had been at the Winery for a few hours the Bride and Groom went to their hotel to change and we agreed to meet them in a few hours for Dinner which again was lovely.
This was the last holiday with my ex husband which was 3 years ago in September how time flies a lot has happened but I am glad we got to go to Santorini together to be apart of his friends wedding together
Another Night Out In Santorini I think this one was taken before the Wedding I think it was either the first or second night we arrived.
We stayed in a lovely little Apartment and there was a nice bar below the Apartment that we would go to and have drinks and also it was right across the Beach which was another Plus.
One or two days before we were due to Fly home we decided to take a Boat Ride to the other end of the Island we always do this when we go away even when we stay in the U.K .
I love taking Boat Rides this one though was Scary you actually had to walk in the Water to get to the Actual Boat Ride and I knew this I had built the courage up all week and finally when I decided to do it I slipped and I'm sure that a Jelly Fish was at my foot I could feel something it freaked me out so much.
When the Boat finally set of it was literally all over the place like in Hong Kong the waters were really Choppy I was starting to feel Sea Sick I could not wait to get off this Boat and I didn't want to get on it coming back but that would not be for a few hours so when I was off the boat I could relax for a bit.
When we got off the Boat we went to a Café to get a drink I think I had a little Snack as well and then we went to look around the Stalls to look for Souvenirs as we was going home soon and as we was walking along the Beach Front we found this Amazing Restaurant which overlooked the Beach it was so Romantic as it was one of our last days we decided to go and get something to eat before we had to get on that dreadful boat.
I can't remember what I had to eat all I can remember is feeling really happy and content just soaking up the sunshine it was just lovely.
An elderly came out when we had finished our meals and were ready to pay and said something in Greek which made my ex husband smile when I asked what they had said because he said something back to her she said I was beautiful and he said that he knew that :)
to go from that holiday 3 years ago to being divorced for the last year is strange on that trip he seemed happy but maybe he wasn't I've given up trying to second guess things and also every day I'm learning to forgive myself finally for things not working out with us it's taken me so long to get to this point 2 1/2 years it's been tough I've battled depression, panic attacks, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder and I'm happy to say that I can see a glimmer of light finally.
That last paragraph I wasn't going to include since this is my blog and I have written about the wedding we attended and the last holiday I went on with my ex husband I thought I would just go into a bit of history strange how you think life is taking you in one direction and then you end up somewhere else isn't it .
